On June 25th we inaugurated Cinema 703 with a screening of the Blues Brothers.  Ten brethren and guests were present.  We are tentatively scheduling Animal House for July 16th.  Check back as we get closer to the 16th for any updates.

During the remainder of the year, if we have nothing sechuled for a special night, we may do movies with a Masonic theme, such as the Man Who Would be King.

I cannot say it was a beautiful evening at the ball field on May 9th.  The weather was far from perfect, and the Indians were, uh, less than spectacular.

But the food was decent, the game modestly entertaining, and the companionship of the Brethren enjoyable.  All that was missing  was you!

Rt. Worshipful Bro. Phil Smith, WB Scott Croxford, JW Brian Spooner, and I had the pleasure of presenting Bro. Harold Armstrong his 50 year pin and Certificate at his house on December 18th.  Bro. Armstrong turned 101 on our Awards Night, has had some recent health issues, and was not able to attend lodge that night, so we went to him.

It was wonderful to talk to him and hear his stories.  He had his lodge bible at hand, and it was interesting to see the names of some of the departed brothers I have known being present at Bro. Armstrong's raising 50 years ago.

This has been the most pleasant duty of my short tenure.  Please be sure to check out the photos in the Photo Album section of this site.

At least until the weather gets warm again, I expect the officers to wear coat and tie at regular meetings, and tuxes for all important meetings (i.e. awards night, degree work).  For all meetings the brethren should at minimum be business casual.  Thank you!
